Umm, are you? Physically, is your computer connected to: a) A DSL router or similar device? b) A router box connected to a DSL modem or cable modem or whatever? c) A cable modem or dumb DSL modem? (may be difficult to tell between a and c :( ) d) An actual PC which is connected to a DSL or cable modem? e) A phone line? f) Student ethernet? One is that your ISP is so lame as to NAT your internet connection. Another is that you live in an institution.
