Are you sure that's resident and not virtual? It's pretty absurd if it's resident.. how much does the node think it's using (Environment page)?
I've set the JAVA-call to 256MB, but it uses 662MB virtual, 470MB resident and 40MB shared memory. Environment shows 260.160KiB/260.160KiB.
Too much i think. It makes no sense to limit it at 256MB and it keeps going through..

I'm planning to install freenet on a high bandwidth lease root-server with only 256MB RAM. That will not work then, or?
