I'm aware of that. Exactly that is my problem. The DNS-lookup *and*
DNS-reverse-lookup, which the uncountable whois-services can do.
On personal registered domains it could reveal your personal data, but
not all registered ip addresses have a reverse mapping to the fqdn/domain!
Do you really think it makes no difference, if you only get the
providers data or directly the full personal data?
To reveal the real user (name and street address) of a static and
unnamed ip, there is a barrier to take: You have to make an official
request to the provider!
Until that, there is no name and street address ... and no spam ;-)
I'm just talking about a very basic level of privacy, of course. I don't think at law enfocement level, coz they are able at any time..
