Thanks for explaining this, it helps.

I have been working on just this problem - Fred using up its memory
limit and constantly garbage collecting resulting in 100% CPU usage -
over the last few days, so if you could come back when the next build is
released (will be notified on the support list), or even try out a
prerelease build from the below URL (get the latest jar from below, and
copy it over freenet.jar), you may be pleasantly surprised.
