Hello, Upgrading the OS from Mac 10.5-Leopard to Mac 10.6-Snow Leopard (with its Java 1.6) seemed to solve the problem. Wrapper.log reports nothing but happy events. All methods of install work well, jnlp from the webpage or the Linux offline installer. Thanks to Daxter, Dsoslglece, and Matthew for the help. Harry
