The bug is still alive because it's a complicated problem to solve. Matthew has written 100k lines of code to fix it, (called purge-db4o) but before it can be deployed as stable we need to review it. I'm sorry this bug still exists, and I'm upset too, but there's light at the end of this tunnel!
