Hello Freenet Project,

I was wondering if you could help me with an issue that I am having when trying to install freenet for OSX Mavericks. Whenever I have tried to launch the freenet project it runs for around 5-10 seconds before closing, but still when I try to connect to the freenet my browser says i'm not able to connect. I have only been able to connect to the freenet for about 2 seconds after I first installed it and it auto-ran but soon refreshed and closed.

When I attempt to run the project through the command line link in the Freenet Application Directory called /StartFreenet.Command/ it displays this:

/Applications/Freenet/StartFreenet.command ; exit;Your JAVA_HOME seems to be incompatible with your PATH, ignoring it./

/Your java executable at /usr/bin/java seems suitable/

/sed: 1: "/Applications/Freenet/w ...": invalid command code F/

/Starting Freenet 0.7.../

/logout/

/[Process completed]/

Also when performing the installation I saw an error saying something similar to /invalid command code F/ as well.

I really love the whole idea of the Freenet Project and would love to use it but these issues are preventing me from doing so, help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Callum

Hi,

For what the command is concerned, and since the rabbit is still in no working order yet, I'm always using those (since Lion, years ago, till today El capitan):

cd //[path]/Freenet (Freenet directory)
./run.sh start

./run.sh stop
And as for java, sometimes there is this message (wrong anyway), and it may work inspite of it… there is somewhere the solution to it… not too sure of what it is though… perhaps to install it from the *freenet jnlp*…

good luck
