I would like to optimize Freenet for maximum download performance using
Fuqid.

I'm using 0,5, Not planning on switching to 0,7 until there's more content.

Can I ask you a couple questions? I couldn't find much info about these.

My connection is 512k down/ 96k up
Athlon 64 3000+ 2 gigs ram

1. The maximum number of threads can be set in freenet.ini, I set
this to 400. What happens if you set this too high? what sort of resources
would it use too much of? what if I set it too low?

What's the optimal value?

2. Are the FUQUID threads the same as freenet threads? In other words
does 1 FUQID thread use 1 Freenet thread?

3. What happens if I have too many FUQID threads? i.e. is 200 too much, if
yes why?
What's the best way to find the optimal value?

4. Is it possible to tell how many threads FROST uses? I don't use the web,
only FROST and FUQID.

5. And lastly, would giving more memory to the java runtime give better
results? I have the default setting.

Thank you.
