As some may remember, I'd been struggling with a corrupted payment file for
a month now.

After reading some of the recent semi-related mail of others, I decided not
to use 103 (can't update Filemaker right now) and just start a new 102.

I did that. Names imported fine, and I had an older back up of payments I
used. Figured we I'd just rekey payments from that point on.

Everything seemed fine. I finished Congress today. With that, of course,
added new Congressional names.

Okay, then I started work on getting some new and old payments keyed in.
That was going just fine, too, until I came to a new member. Okay, add
name. Fine. Now add payment. That seemed okay too, until I printed the
thank you note.

Oh...no. It had some other organizations name on it. A check of the
record numbers...They match. How can that be. I spot check of the new
congressional names...they, too, each share a record number with an
organization that had been keyed in last summer.

Okay, the names I imported were good from January 8th. The payments were
from around May.

HELP!

I wanted to spend the weekend getting some state legislatures updated too!
MY BOSS wants to do the newsletter next week! Oh MY I'm going to die!

Can I go ahead and just update the legislators as long as I don't add any
new names? (Just reuse the records of retired legislators??)
