We often use Query to get a set of names to mail, then use Output to export the set as a mailing label file. We open an Access database file (probably others would work), import the new file into Access, and then can manipulate the names and print them out on labels (or merge them into a Word document for letters). I often do this even though we have FileMaker Pro because it is easier for me to work with Access than FileMaker, and Access seems to speak to my printer better. But, I think the strategy would work with a run-time version of ebase.
