We're trying to identify a way in which we can delete a member, yet preserve the giving history of that member so that we can accurately tally giving for individual appeals, membership dues, and overall yearly giving. Deleting a member unfortunately also deletes that member's giving history. We've thought about flagging any deletes and keeping them in our file, but this poses the problem of having to omit the deletes in any finds or queries -- and ensuring our dozen staff do so as well.
