I think you're seeing an interaction of the FileMaker trial version
and ebase. The trial version is not fully functional, so you can't
get to some of the ebase functions using it.
Use the ebase runtime to do data entry and administrative functions,
but you're going to have to wait for the full version of FileMaker to
customize ebase.
