Part of the Page Setup (Print Setup on Windows) dialog is selecting
whether to print the current record or the found set. Page Setup can
be embedded in a script to drive a report, but I expect that you are
printing your custom report from the FileMaker menu so you can select
"found set" from Page Setup when it is presented.

"Had" trouble, meaning you solved it? If not, there is a menu item,
Sort, in the Scripts menu that will sort records. I'm presuming that
since you are working with a list of payments that you are doing this
in the Payments file - the Post Date field is in paymnts_102, not
names_.102.
