It will depend on the feedback we get from developers and beta
testers. We don't want to release software that is buggy or doesn't
meet people's needs and unlike the last version, a lot of the
decisions about when to release things and in what shape will be made
by the developer community.

The alpha version is currently being tested by our staff (we have
quite the list of bugs to iron out), and the alpha code will be
released to the ebase developers this week.

We expect it will take 2-3 weeks to get a decent amount of feedback
before we know what tasks to tackle next.

We're hoping to release public beta software (for testing and review
purposes only, no support will be offered) by early summer.

Thats about as accurate as we can be right now. Hope it helps.
