Let me try to be more precise. I have a current member who paid Dues
at the "Individual" level. I set the names of my 3 membership levels
for which I want names in the setup wizard, accounting data, giving
levels. The correct level is currently visible on the home screen in
the member-level box.

If I add a new payment record for this user, I go to the add-payment
screen. I type in the post date, tab to the amount, type in the
dollar amount, tab to payment-for field. the drop down box appears,
and the level box (lower on the screen) immedaitely changes to a
different level before I select a payment-for.I select
contribution. And save the record (I guess I don't have to actually
save it - it happens automatically) I hit update status, I hit update
level. I go to the home screen for this user and the membership is
what is it supposed to be. On the 2 payment records, one show one
level and the other show the other level.

So maybe I have no problem at all - it just seemed strange that the
paymen record should reflect one thing and the home record another.

I guess its ok after all? (He hints - looking for confirmation...)

Thanks,
