Hello, I understand that I should be able to movemy pc data files to a mac. The FAQ says - basically - just copy them. Well, it isn't working for me. Has anyone done this? The things I've tried are: 1. starting with a working copy of ebase on the pc where my good data is. Starting with a working ebase on the mac with bad data. 2. ftping all the *.102 files from the pc to the mac. I've tried both ascii and binary mode (which should I be using?). 3. starting ebase on the it says that "This file cannot be opened because it belongs to another solution". 4. Zipped the file on the pc and copied the whole zip archive to the mac. unzipped. Got the same result. There is a question of when the files show up on the mac they aren't "filemaker files", so I changed all the owner and application bits on the files to make them "look" like the data files that DO work. Still doesn't work. Help?
