Unless you have some strange labels, you should be using the predefined Avery numbers.

Subject: [support] labels

I am having difficulty printing labels. I am using ebase with FileMaker Pro5.
I can find and query, preview my data, but I can't line up the data with the
10 down, 3 across labels.  When I follow the HELP instructions, I get as far
as "Custom" on paper size, but when I enter the label dimensions (1 X 2 5/8)
I am told the minimum is 3."  I would appreciate any and all help.
Thank you.
