The best bet is to wait for version 2 of eBase. Multiple addresses are supposed to be in it. The changes you need to make are non-trivail as they affect layouts, scripts and new fields. Your proposed solution interferes with what normally happens for non-IND record types. You might just add a "duplicate" record with the other address and marked with one of the non-IND types. Now when you print labels, etc. you are likely to get two copies going to those people (unless you pull them). Unless you have hundreds of these, you have to ask serious questions about the cost of a change which will make future migration hard vs a little extra postage.

Subject: [support] Second set of address fields?

As a new adopter of ebase, I need to have a second set of address fields, to be designated business/org address, and a designator for Preferred Address. I notice that changes in the Type field (name file) effects various name fields by including/excluding business names. It seems this might be the best way for us to designate a preferred address, adding calcs to the label, letter, and envelope layouts "if Type is not Ind, use Business Address..." Any thoughts on this approach or better ideas? Jannah Riemer Cornucopia Community Advocates Sedona, AZ
