Thanks, Dave. It worked. I have another questions. Is it possible to select more than one action for a particular issue? For example, we just did a big phone bank for roadless defense, and some folks agreed to do multiple actions: write letters, phone their congressmen and fax the white house. It seems easier to reflect this as part of one action then to keep going in and creating new actions for the same campaign.

Also, in experimenting with the actions file, I noticed it forces me to add an action once Im on that screen. Is it possible to delete the actions I added as part of this test without deleting the entire record?

A value list is stored with a particular file. So, you need to edit the value list in the actions file to be the same as in the names file. Go to the View Actions screen so you are in the actions file, and repeat the steps you took to customize the list in the names file.
