First thing I'd look at is FileMaker's network settings. Make sure 
the setting is the same as your network protocol (Most likely TCP/IP, 
unless you're on an old Mac LocalTalk network). Get there through the 
menu item Edit>Preferences>Application, and choose the General tab.
