I'm using Macintosh with FM Pro 5.0 and ebase 100.
As a new user of ebase, I've been asked to make certain members
"complimentary" members, due to their overall contributions. The
purpose is to have our bulletins go out to these people even if they
allow their memberships to lapse. I'm confused about changing and
tracking these member's status.
There is a calculated field called Doner type in Names which has
values including "honorary".
There's also a "mbr type" field in the dues section of the payments
screen which can have the value "complimentary". If I change this
value to "complimentary" the value of calculated field "status"
doesn't change from "lapsed" to "current", so there's still a risk
that these members would not receive bulletins if they were only sent
to the members who's status field = "current".
What's the best way to accomplish this, in other's experience?
