Hi, All! -
I have a multitude of questions regarding Ebase and
Filemaker! so here it goes:
1. Must Filemaker Developer be purchased to
make modifications to Ebase? Or is another version of Filemaker
needed?
2. Is there any non-profit society deals for the
Filemaker version above?
3. With Filemaker version above, can you create
your own forms for printing out membership cards?
Any help answering these questions would be
helpful,

is almost for sure that you will be able to import your mailing list data no
matter what program is currently maintaining it. You may need to hire a
consultant if it one that is really hard. Look at the program and see what it
offers in the way of exporting data. The hard cases are those which have no
way of exporting - they need someone who can write a program to extract the
data.
Obviously, manual ledger data will have to be entered by keyboarding.
eBase is quite good at entering this sort of stuff so if you have 100s to
1000s of entries you should be able to do that fairly quickly. If you have
10,000s or up, you might consider hiring a data entry
temp.
In the past we have kept a manual ledger of the
contributions and all we have is a mailing list of the
members. I'm not sure what program is being used for the mailing
list. Can we merge that data with ebase?
