>According to the "How to Use ebase" manual, you should click the update

>do? What happens when you click or don't click it?

The fields located in the gray area at the bottom of the home screen
are collectively known as the Fast Find Fields. They are not live
links to payment data, but are updated as needed. They are set up
this way so searches and sorts work much quicker than they would if
they were related fields. They need to be updated whenever you enter
a bunch of data, or do a search that relies on these fields. The
update status button does the update. The script Replace Curr Find
Fields does the same, and Replace All Find Fields does the update on
all your records. Check Chapter 4 in the ebase user manual.
