Printing draws on fonts present on the machine doing the printing. If 
the font specified in the file isn't available on the machine doing 
the printing, FileMaker will look for something with similar metrics 
to substitute. In the case of your co-worker, it sounds like the font 
used was sufficiently different to cause lines to wrap at different 
places and change the look of the letter. The solution is to make the 
fonts required available on all the machines using ebase.
