Does anyone know when the new version of ebase is supposed to come out this month, or where I can find more info out about it? We are going to start using ebase, but figured we should wait until the new version is out rather than try to upgrade with all our data.
The current schedule is as outlined below, in a
message from Bob Schmitt

There was a review of the planned roll out schedule which currently looks like this:
End of June: change the interface on the build to reflect current thinking and have a build ready to begin private beta testing.
August: Release a developers build at the Filemaker Developers conference in Orlando.
September: Release a public beta.
Past September we will be focusing on code tweaks, documentation and figuring out what kind of user support mechanisms will have to be in place before we roll out a final version.
There will certainly be a published procedure for migrating your
data from ebase 1.0x to version 2. If you don't make many changes to
the structure, that is, new fields, revised layouts, etc., the
transition will be pretty easy. Any structural changes will need to be
re-done in version 2, if they are not addressed as part of the version
2 development.
