Two things: First you need full control of the file. You must be host with
nobody else as guest. You can't, for example, do this with a file running on
Filemaker Server. It should be closed and opened on your computer. Then the
master password should get you into Access Privileges. If this still doesn't
work, perhaps someone has changed the password. There is no Uber-Password
beyond the master one, unless someone on your site has created it.
Note, also, that you must set up any new password in *every* ebase file, or
your ebasing experience will not be a pleasant one. Any file opened that
lacks the new password will request a different one in order to run. Note
also that in some cases passwords may need to be assigned to a group (or
even new groups created) for the desired effect. Read about this in the
FileMaker user manual and perhaps create a test file or two with ebase
closed in order to understand this topic better.
