Folks - I'm looking for some help in using ebase to send out newsletters.
I'm trying to use the email feature, but I can only get it to work for
"custom" emails, not for batch emails. I think the "Copy" command buried in
the batch email script is not working, but I haven't been able to figure it
out how to fix it with the debugging I've done so far.
Has anyone had this problem & is there a good bug-fix?
Here's what I do:
- find the group of people I want to send to
- on Output layout, click "Email" button
- click "Yes" to blank out CC & PS fields
- create text (i've tried both from scratch & from source code)
- create source codes (or not - i've tried both)
- check email addresses (or not - i've tried both)
- click "Yes, Send email now" under "Send Email for Found Set?"
- click "Batch" when asked whether to send as Batch, Custom, or Cancel
- click "OK" when it puts up the message saying that the addresses have
been pasted into the clipboard.
- switch over to my email program - when I "Paste", I don't get the
addresses, I get whatever it is that was most recently copied or cut before
I told ebase to send emails.
I've reviewed the scripts, and it looks like script 200c is where the
copying should happen, but I haven't been able to isolate what isn't
happening correctly. Any ideas?
Also, does anyone know how to print out script definitions? It would make
it easier to debug, but I don't know how to do it.
Thanks!!
