Check to see if there is a pattern to the zips that are dropping digits. I
suspect that these would be zip codes that begin with a zero. During the
data importing process there is a step where you can indicate the formatting
for each "column" or field. At this stage, make sure to highlight the zip
field and choose to format it as "text" rather than "general" or "number."
A number formatted field will drop the leading zero in a number as being
superfluous. It is also a good idea to check any other fields containing
numbers to see if this is happening to those fields as well (i.e. serial
numbers, id numbers, etc.). Once the import has been successful the fields
will operate correctly and your numbers will be the proper length.
