I spoke with Rachel and we determined that her new computer had actually
never sent email from ebase. The problem is that the operating system has
never been told that Eudora is the default email program. Here's what I
pulled off the Filemaker website (www.filemaker.com). I think it might be
of value to others on this list:

MAC OS:

Both the Send Mail and Open URL script steps depend on the settings in
Internet Config. Internet Config is an application that is installed with
many internet programs. If you don't have it installed, you can get it from
http://www.shareware.com

Send Mail script step
Sends an email message (with or without a file attachment).

* You must have Claris Emailer, Qualcomm Eudora Light, or Eudora Pro installed.
* You need to specify, in Internet Config, one of these applications for the
'mailto' command. To do this:
- Run Internet Config, click the Helpers icon
- locate the 'mailto' tag in the helpers list. If it's not there, add it.
- double-click the 'mailto' tag. Click "Specify Application" and select one
of the compatible email client software.
- Save and Quit Internet Config.

Open URL script step
Automatically launch your browser and open a URL. Open URL supports these
URL types: http, ftp, file, and mailto.

Run Internet Config, click Helpers. Individually, select each of url types
and specify your desired internet applications for each of these URL types:
http, ftp, and/ or mailto. (Your browser should work for all of the URL
types.). Save and quit Internet Config.
