We are in the process of installing a network in order for our non-profit to share and back up files across three office locations. The main reason for this was to be able to share our database. We currently have two single-user versions of FileMaker Pro. Is FileMaker Server really better for running on a network, or would I be better off getting a multi-license for regular FileMaker and putting that on our server, price-wise and functionality-wise? FM Server would be quite expensive for us, especially since we've just bought all this other equipment. We have too much $$ to qualify for their "charity" programs, but not enough to spend on the Server version. Any advice from those who have done this or have intimate knowledge of FileMaker and its licensing? Thanks!
