Andrea,

I assume from what you say that you are printing only one label at a time.
If you are trying to print multiple labels and only getting one per sheet,
then the Print setup is set incorrectly to print only the current record,
not the entire found set.

But, assuming that you only want one, there is a major workaround that will
do it. You would need to create a new file to handle the printing and send
the data to it. It would need to contain 30 records, one for each position
on a sheet of labels, and the data would be plugged into only the record
which occupies the position you want to print - all others would be empty.
You would have to change the record each time you print a new label. This is
complex - it would take time and a good knowledge of FileMaker.

Alternatively, there is a shareware FileMaker template file called Aetiket
Label Printer, developed by Eric Fandrich, which will do this and which
could be linked to ebase with much less work. It can be downloaded from:
http://www.aetiket.com/ and works well for doing this one-at-a-time
printing.

In either case, however, let me warn you that every time you run a sheet of
labels through a printer, the sheet may deteriorate somewhat due to the
bending. If, after a few labels, one or more labels comes off the sheet and
jams the printer, the repair charges may far exceed the cost of a few wasted
sheets. The best option remains, as Dave suggests, a Dymo or other
single-label printer set up with a new layout and script specifically for
this purpose. There's even an unused Print Label button (charcoal gray) on
the Home page of ebase specifically reserved for this task. Setting this up
would still require some knowledge of FileMaker scripting and layouts or
else you'd need to hire a consultant.
