To fix the "read only" issue, here's a quick batch solution rather than
opening each file individually.

There is a simple quick fix for this. Follow the instructions below.

1. Open Notepad
2. Past the contents below into a new document, be sure to modify the
directory path to that which contains your "read only" files. It's a good
idea to place these files in a seperate directory of their own.
3. Save the notepad file as a .bat file (example modify.bat) onto your
desktop for quick access.
4. Dbl-click the new bat file and it will quickly make the change and close
the dos window when complete. You won't see much happen, it'll open a
window, go black, the close itself. Open your directory of read only files
and check to make sure it works. If not, open your bat file in Notepad and
double check the directory path.

@echo off
cd C:\Enter the path to your files here
attrib -r *.102

I think this is all "as expected". If you use a backup program to copy
files onto a CD, then the restore program that is the companion to the
backup program makes sure your files look just as they did when you backed
them up.

On the other hand, if you simply copy the files from your hard disk to your

CD (drag-and-drop using Windows Explorer or My Computer), then copy them
back onto your hard disk, they will indeed be set to read-only. It's a
simple matter to then select all of the files, right-click to get the menu,

select "Properties" and deselect "Read-Only".
