In layout mode select the text and right click and select text format. That
allows you to set font, font size and whether it is translated to Uppercase.
The default labels are all uppercase because the USPS likes that. However
uppercase characters are wider on average than lowercase characters to that
make a significant difference in how many characters per line.
I don't remember what the original size is. We run at 9pt. If I remember
right, 12pt gets you about 30 characters and many names exceed that.
We run into problems with the Bus/Org line for outfits like:
Department of Environmental Protection
so it helps to abbreviate when you can.
