This is a confusing question, so hang in there. I have customized my current version of ebase (v1.03 running FMPro 5.1 on our server over a LAN with 8 clients) with some scripts that export tab-delimited files to a specified location (for example, they currently go to "\\Server\ebase\email lists". These files are then massaged by a text-modifying program (TextPad) that runs scripts to turn them into files that can easily be used in our Eudora address books - these scripts also point to that same folder. We want to do two things, and we're not sure which order they should be done in (or whether it matters). - We're going to switch over to Filemaker Server to speed up everyone's access, which will also involve moving which directory ebase is in (don't ask me why, but the consultant who will install FM-server says it is true) - We want to change the location of the exported files to a more logical location - this will require rewriting small portions of the scripts in both ebase and Textpad. Obviously, we'd rather only do this once, as it will take awhile. So our question is - when we switch from ebase in its current mode in its current location to Filemaker Server in a different location, will the ebase scripts get confused about which directory the export scripts are pointing to? I.e., does the export Save As.. command use a relative or absolute file-addressing?
