Yes, using two separate find requests accomplished a logical OR 
query. That is, every record is someone who donated in 2000 OR 
donated in 2001.

Since this query was done in the payments file, in this case you have 
found all the _payments_ made by people who donated in 2000 OR 
donated in 2001. Since each person can have more than one payment, 
you will find a larger number of payments than you did of people.
