I had a similar problem, I don't know if this will help any. Whenever I use the
delete button, I get an illegal operation error and ebase shuts down also. I
think I got the script message too, but mostly I remember getting a names file problem
and a "use restore" instruction- which I DID NOT follow. But, if I use the
delete script up in the task bar, I have no problems.

Jack Noll, spent several hours trying to help me solve the problem to no avail. I have
tried uninstalling and reinstalling ebase and using backups, no change.
But, a copy, when installed on another computer works fine. I'm assuming I've got some
problem with Windows on the PC that ebase is currently installed on. I'm
planning to move the database when we get our network set up.
