Subject: [support] RE: Using POP3it with Eudora 5.02

I'm not a Eudora user, but have a couple comments.

It's my understanding that POP3it is a plug-in which is used for receiving
email into a FileMaker application, not sending from it. The same developer
makes a great product called SMTPit, which I use, that allows mail to be
sent from FileMaker. The plug-in is itself the email client, so Eudora would
not be used with the plug-in. Also, both of these plug-ins require their own
customized interface within a FileMaker application (such as ebase). So
you'd have to program the interface yourself if you used it.

On the other hand, ebase is designed to use FileMaker's built-in Send Email
command, not a plug-in. So ebase should interact directly with Eudora,
assuming that Eudora is MAPI compliant, which I understand it is. No plug-in
needs to be involved. I'd guess that either something is messed up in your
copy of ebase or that you're using a version of Eudora that won't work with
ebase. That's about all I can offer.
