Most barcode scanners simulate a keyboard so you should be able to enter the
barcode into any field by scanning the code. Some have the option of either
simulating an enter key or not.

It is easy to create special screens such as you suggest. You do need a copy
of FMP to create such screens as the runtime package does not support layout
changes.

Both of the above are independent of ebase V1 or v2 decision.
