Having just run into this bug again with a client, I'm sending out this reminder (and since it becomes evident after the change in the fiscal year, many people are likely to encounter it now).
If you are using v.1.02, remember that there is a bug in the downloaded copy that makes the "replace all find fields" script work improperly. You may find you get odd results when you run the script (such as blank data for the <<YTD $>> and <<Last Year $>> fields on the Home Screen). This bug was fixed in the v.1.03 copy. If you run this script and then try a find in the Last Year $ field for any amount >$0 and don't get what you think you should get, you may have this bug. It has been fixed by many users, but not all. You can also check for this bug if you use ebase with Filemaker by going into the Define->Fields menu and selecting the SUM:Current Fiscal Year field.
