On first glance, this seems like a good idea. And maybe it is for a single-user standalone installation. We're running 10-20 users on an FMPServer system. At any time, maybe a dozen people are logging on and off of ebase. If each of them is asked (or required) to make some sort of backup every time they log off, it would be chaos. Not to mention that few of them even know how to do it, since it is handled by assigned users at specific times and using semi-automated tools.
