Title: Re: [support] "Last year $" totals incorrect
Interestingly, I'm running into a similar problem -- but just since the change of the year.

The client has updated all find fields, which hasn't made a difference.

I received a copy of her ebase and tried the same thing on my machine, which did fix it -- but only on my machine.  Since the client is several hours' drive from my office, I haven't been able to compare machines, etc.

We are using the same version of FileMaker for Windows (4.1v1), however.

You may want to update all find fields (admin screen) without specifying a 'start date' and see if that helps.  You may also want to execute the HOME script for every NAME record.  This can be done with a short script; I can send you an example if that'd be helpful.

Subject: [support] Re: "Last year $" totals incorrect

I performed a query to find all who donated >= $300 in 2001.  Unless the people in this found set have already given in '02, for many the amount showing in "Last year $" is the amount from 2000.  So, I have folks who never gave in '01 showing up when they shouldn't and folks that gave >= $300 in '01 but NOT in '00 not showing up on the list when they should.  Ebase updates to the correct info once I hit "View Payments".  Does Ebase not automatically update for the new year?

Yes, I had a client with similar frustrations yesterday - the "year to date," "last year," and "previous year" fields seem to be buggy in 1.02.

Rather than spend a lot of time tracking down the bugs, I revised one of the standard reports in the Payments file to meet their needs.

If anyone knows a simple fix for that bug, however, we'd be happy to learn it.

TIA,
Allen
