Repeating fields are one of my least favorite FileMaker features. I'm almost tempted to say, "It's not a feature, it's a bug." I would suggest extracting the data from the repeating fields into standard fields using a replace command. You can address specific repeats using the GetRepition(repeatingfield, repetition) function (at least in FileMaker 5 - not sure how far back that goes). So you can create a new field Repeat1 and populate it from the first repetition, and so forth. Then you make as many passes at importing the data as you have repeats. . -- -- Dave Shaw H4 Consulting tel: 206-954-7526 fax: 206-625-1338 ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------
