If some succeed and some fail it is usually due to misconfiguration on your end. Many ISPs enforce "no use of relays". So if your outgoing smtp is not the smtp of your ISP they will reject the mail. So for example: my ISP is smpt.bestweb.net, but typically I am sending email from [EMAIL PROTECTED] I could use the smpt service on that machine which happens to be side.put.com but if I did I would get the effect you observe, some receivers reject the mail because it did not come from ISP I was logged onto. When in the office I have to set my smtp to mail.optonline.net as that is the ISP of our cable modem.
