[support] ebase emails on Mac

Does anyone have any general experience with using ebase to generate emailmerged messages on a Mac?  If so, what email client do you use?  Do you have any recommendations for email clients to prefer (or avoid)?  I'm working with someone who's interested in doing this, and my ebase background is just on the PC.
