I have a reply to the message from Dave Shaw below... >You don't say which platform you're using by I suspect Windows. >You've got to convince Windows to recognize the .102 suffix as a >FileMaker file. This was probably done on your local machine, but now >needs to be done on the Server. Since I'm a Mac user, the details >don't come to mind immediately, and the archives are still >unavailable. Can anyone from the other side of the house fill in the >details? >-- >-- >Dave Shaw H4 Consulting >tel: 206-954-7526 fax: 206-625-1338
I'm working off the daily digest, so please excuse me it this message was already answered... I think Dave's guess is a good one...To carry out his suggestion, in Windows Explorer, you need to select View/Options, then hit the "File Types" tab to fill in a File Type description that tells the machine that the extension ".102" indicates a file that should be opened with FileMaker Server. To the individual who started this discussion thread (Steve)... feel free to give me a call if that would be a help in getting this done. The actions past my brief description above aren't that easy to describe in writing... ************************************************************** Larry F.
