The payment report formats the data from all the records in the found set. You need to search in the payments file for records of payments receive this year. Use the payments query screen, not the one in names. On both the View Payments and Payment Entry screen, there is a blue Query button in the upper right. Click that, and enter criteria for the records you want to work with - such as 1.1.2002...4.11.2002 in the date field for payments this year.
