FileMaker doesn't play well with the HP LaserJet 5 driver. There's a
technical note on the FileMaker site and an FAQ on the ebase support
area that deal with it. Here's a quote:

We have found that if you're running Windows (3.1, 95, 98 or NT) and
using an HP LaserJet 5 printer (or greater) that this combination has
caused ebase to crash. Filemaker (hence ebase) has some
well-documented problems dealing with this printer compatibility
problems that and can cause the system to crash.

FileMaker says the version 4 driver is much more stable, and
recommends installing the version 4 driver.
