Dave, What would be the heading for the area in the FM manual where this sort of script language could be found?

How do I >save a find. Some of my finds (or queries) have more than 20 requests. Can >I save a find for later use. I use FileMaker 5.5 In FileMaker, search criteria (as well as import & export lists, page setup, and sort order) can be embedded in a script. Create a script with the step Perform Find and check the option to restore find requests to capture the last search performed. More detail on this in the Filemaker user manual. Ebase version 1.02 and 1.03 include a series of custom find scripts and a layout from which you can choose them. You perform the find, open one of the scripts and edit it to save the search just performed. You can change the label attached to the button that calls that script on the custom find page to something relevant. Details are in Chapter 12 of the ebase Admin manual. -- -- Dave Shaw H4 Consulting tel: 206-954-7526 fax: 206-625-1338 ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------
