In this discussion thread, the following text comes from a reply from Dave

I just wanted to remind those following this discussion thread of my work
on developing a "Ebase data transfer system" to facilitate exactly this
operation described by Dave. (I announced that I had finished a first draft
of that tool a few weeks back and offered to share with anyone
interested.) In present state, this system is designed to provide a
checklist of tasks to be accomplished, a way of tracking which tasks you've
performed, and a set of V1.0.3 files designed to facilitate the
transfer. Right now I have this system working to transfer data from
V1.0.2 files (converted to FM V5 format) to the clean V1.0.3 files.

My motive in this effort was to provide a tool to assist those who end up
in this situation. If you even watch an "expert" do this, it involves many
steps and is inherently error-prone in my opinion. This tool does not
COMPLETELY automate this process, but makes it an ASSISTED manual
process. In my opinion, it is enough of an assist to make a big difference.

I'm interested in extending work to cover transfer of data from V1.0.0 and
unconverted (i.e. FM V3) V.1.0.2 files, but can't seem to find ANYONE who
can provide the installers for those earlier versions of Ebase, so I've
been unable to obtain clean V1.0.0 and V.1.0.2 files for that development
work. I'm still hoping SOMEONE will be able to provide those installers...
(Yes, I'm BEGGING for those installers!)
