Hannah, There's a script in the admin area that deletes the sample data. However, it may actually be the case that it deletes ALL data ... and the idea is to delete the sample data before importing the new.
I haven't used v2 much yet ... Does anyone know if there are individual record deletion tools (scripts activated by buttons) in v2 that kill related (e.g. item) records when contacts are deleted? If so, it might not be too much trouble to hand-delete the 100 or so contacts, deleting their related records in the process. It's probably not a good idea to use the FileMaker menu commands to delete records, as the related records in other files (e.g. items) would be left orphaned. Alternatively, if the import happened to be a quick process for you, it might work to uninstall v2, reinstall a fresh version, and delete the sample data from it.
