Hannah,

There's a script in the admin area that deletes the sample data. However,
it may actually be the case that it deletes ALL data ... and the idea is to
delete the sample data before importing the new.

I haven't used v2 much yet ... Does anyone know if there are individual
record deletion tools (scripts activated by buttons) in v2 that kill related
(e.g. item) records when contacts are deleted? If so, it might not be too
much trouble to hand-delete the 100 or so contacts, deleting their related
records in the process.

It's probably not a good idea to use the FileMaker menu commands to delete
records, as the related records in other files (e.g. items) would be left
orphaned.

Alternatively, if the import happened to be a quick process for you, it
might work to uninstall v2, reinstall a fresh version, and delete the sample
data from it. This might also be a chance to address any necessary hassles
that happened on the first import (e.g. the disk full error?).

Subject: [support] importing from v1

two questions, one of which is a bit silly.

i think, that when i imported my files from version one to version 2, i
copied them into the example-files (OASIS is the example-organization?).
any special way to rid myself of those files? (this is the silly
question.)

also, when i was in the process of importing all of the .103 data sources,
i got some error messages which seemed to imply the disk was filled up.
any special way to restart the import process once i have figured out if
that is actually the case?

new to ebase! thanks for any help.
